Cancel your subscription
You cancel your own subscription from your profile. Nobody has to do it for you and there is no form to fill in.
- Go to
/profile. - Find the Subscription card, which shows your current plan and your renewal date.
- Press Manage Subscription. This opens the secure Stripe customer portal.
- Choose Cancel plan in the portal and confirm.
- You land back on your profile, where the renewal line now reads "Cancels on [date]" instead of "Renews on [date]".
The Manage Subscription button only appears when you actually have an active paid subscription. If you are on the free plan there is nothing to cancel, and the button is not shown.
That "Cancels on [date]" line is your confirmation. If it still says "Renews on", the cancellation did not go through - reopen the portal and finish the confirmation step.
Elige Cancel plan y confirma.
- Al volver a tu perfil veras "Cancels on [fecha]".
Al dar de baja no pierdes el acceso inmediatamente. Sigues en tu plan actual hasta la fecha de renovacion, y despues pasas al plan gratuito. Tus creditos de bundle no caducan nunca y se quedan contigo.
What happens after you cancel
Cancelling is not an instant shutdown. You keep what you already paid for.
- You stay on your current plan until the renewal date. Your plan credits and plan limits work normally until then.
- On the renewal date you drop to the free plan. No further charge is taken.
- Unused subscription credits do not carry over. They are tied to the plan, so spend them before the date if you want the value.
- Bundle credits are kept. One-time bundle purchases never expire and survive cancellation. See plans and credits.
- Your gallery moves to the free plan's storage and retention window. Download anything you want to keep before the date.
You can resubscribe at any time from /buy-credits.
Cancelling is not the same as a refund
Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not reverse a charge that already happened, and cancelling mid-month does not generate a partial refund for the remainder of that month.
AetherWave does not advertise refunds. If you believe you were charged in error - a duplicate charge, or a charge after you had already cancelled - write to [email protected] with the date and amount and it will be looked at individually. Do not expect a refund as a matter of course.
Downgrade instead of cancelling
If the plan is simply more than you need, a downgrade keeps your account active on a cheaper tier rather than dropping you to free. Downgrades are done through the same Manage Subscription portal and take effect at the next billing cycle, not immediately.
Going the other way, an upgrade takes effect immediately with a prorated charge.
If you cannot find the button
- You are not signed in. The profile page shows subscription controls only for the signed-in owner of the account.
- You subscribed with a different account. Check which email you are signed in with; a second Google account is the usual cause.
- You are already on free. Nothing to cancel.
- The portal will not open. Try again in a moment; if it keeps failing, write to [email protected] rather than letting the plan renew.
