How to follow an artist
Open their profile and press Follow. Profiles live at /u/<username>, and the button sits in the row of actions under the profile header. If you are not signed in, the same button sends you to sign-in first and brings you back.
Once you follow someone the button becomes Following. Press it again to unfollow. There is also an Unfollow option in the profile's More menu.
Following somebody puts their posts in the Following view of the feed, so the feed stops being everybody and starts being the artists you chose.
Where your follower count appears
Your follower and following counts are stats in the row at the top of your own profile, beside Fame, Bands, Influence and XP. They are labelled Followers and Following.
When somebody follows you, you get a notification saying so, and it links to that person's profile. That notification is the one place the app names an individual follower.
There is no list of your followers in the app today
This is worth saying plainly, because the counts look like they should open something: the Followers and Following stats are numbers only. They are not buttons, and nothing in the app shows you the full list of who follows you or who you follow.
So if you are trying to open your follower list and cannot find it, you have not missed a control. It does not exist yet. What you can do today:
- See the count on your profile.
- Read the notification each time somebody new follows you, which names them and links to their profile.
- See whose posts you are following by switching the feed to Following.
If you need the actual list for something, ask support through Boss-Free or Discord rather than hunting for a screen.
Finding other artists to follow
There is no dedicated artist search box. Searching the site searches stations, prompts, help and the gallery, not people. The ways artists actually find each other:
- The feed. Posts from across the platform, with the author's name on each one. Click a name to open their profile and follow from there.
- The community gallery. Browse what people are making; you can follow straight from a creator's work.
- /discover. The charts and community sections surface artists who are currently doing well.
- Radio and stations. Tracks name the artist who made them, and that name opens their profile.
- A username you already know. Go straight to
/u/<username>. - Typing
@in a feed post. That does search usernames, by the start of the name, and offers up to eight matches. It is built for tagging somebody in a post rather than for browsing, but it is a quick way to confirm an exact username.
