What it does
The AI Album Art generator turns a song into cover art. Upload a track, enter the title and artist, pick one of eight art styles (Photorealistic, Abstract, Digital Art, Vintage, Minimal, Surreal, Anime, Street Art), and choose Square (1:1) or Portrait (9:16). The tool builds a detailed prompt from those choices and generates an original cover with a diffusion image model. You can regenerate until one fits.
The free lead-magnet version is at /create-album-art (no account needed to make and download a cover). The same tool is available in the Album Art Studio for signed-in creators.
Note: the still image is generated from your title, artist, and chosen style, not from an analysis of the audio. The audio is used only if you go on to animate the cover into a looping video (a moving cover for Spotify Canvas, Reels, and TikTok).
Output size
Covers are generated as square images at 1024 by 1024 pixels. That is ideal for streaming profile art, Spotify covers (Spotify's minimum is 640 pixels), and social posts. The industry standard for full album distribution is a larger 3000 by 3000 pixels, with most distributors accepting a 1400 pixel minimum, so upscale the image if a distributor requires a larger file.
Watermark: free vs paid
Free and anonymous downloads include a small AetherWave watermark in the corner of the image.
Paid plans (Starter and above) get watermark-free downloads. Sign in on a paid plan and download the cover from the Album Art tool to get a clean image. Tip for any plan: saving the cover to your gallery and downloading it from your library also produces a clean copy.
The free shareable MP4 (your still cover playing over the full song) follows the same idea: anonymous visitors and accounts that have never paid get a small AetherWave symbol mark in the corner of the video. Any payment removes it - a subscription or a credit bundle both count, so bundle buyers on the free plan get clean videos too.
Sharing your cover video
The share buttons under the finished MP4 (X, Facebook, WhatsApp, and copy link) share a link page that plays the video and shows your cover as the preview image, so the post displays properly instead of appearing as a bare file link.
Album Art vs Soul Forge
These are two different tools:
- Album Art starts from your intent. You pick the style and the model renders a cover. Best when you already have a visual direction.
- Soul Forge starts from the audio. It analyzes the recording (tempo, key, energy, and more) and generates a full band identity plus card art that reflects how the song actually sounds.
Common questions
Why does my cover have a watermark? Free and anonymous downloads are watermarked. Upgrade to any paid plan (Starter and up) for watermark-free downloads, or save the cover to your gallery and download it from your library.
What size do I get? A 1024 by 1024 square (or 9:16 portrait). Great for streaming and social; upscale for large-format distribution.
Can I make the cover move? Yes. After generating the still cover, animate it into a short looping video and it is merged with your track.
