What is the band profile page
Every band you forge in Soul Forge has its own public page at:
https://aetherwavestudio.com/band/{band-id}
You can find it by clicking on a band card on your artist profile (/u/{username}) - it now opens the band's profile page directly.
What's on the page
Live today
- Hero: band portrait, name, genre, signature sound chip, motto, and the label (you) who forged it. If you've published a band site (
/virtual-artists/{slug}/), there's a "Visit Band Site" button. - Identity panel: bio, philosophy, influences, world-building, and members - auto-pulled from whatever fields Soul Forge filled in.
- Discography: starts with your Soul Forge debut single. After the gamification launch, you'll be able to attach more tracks as Releases.
- Press Kit: shows the four Blueprint Studio artifacts when you've generated one for this band - slide deck (PDF), spotlight card (PNG), AI-narrated podcast review, and a full EPK zip.
Coming May 25 (placeholder for now)
These sections render a "Coming May 25" tile until the gamification system goes live:
- Stats & FAME: daily streams, fanbase, sales, FAME score
- Milestones: First Release, Rising Star, Chart Debut, Gold Record, Platinum, Diamond, Superstar, Legend
- Equipment: Producer, Manager, and four instrument slots that boost your band's daily growth
- Events & Tours: concerts, festival slots, awards appearances
- Evolution Feed: a live log of every stat change, release, and milestone
Generating a press kit
The press kit slot starts empty. To fill it:
- From your band profile, click Run "Track Name" through the Blueprint Studio. The link opens Blueprint with your band name + audio source already loaded.
- Hit Generate. The pipeline takes 5-10 minutes and produces a slide deck, an AI-narrated podcast review, a spotlight card, and an EPK zip.
- When it finishes, the View on band profile button on the completion screen drops you back where the press kit cards are now showing.
The Blueprint records its association with the band at generation time - once it's done, the band profile reliably shows the four artifacts.
Who can see what
The band profile page itself is public - anyone with the URL can see the hero, identity, discography, and press kit. The "Build Press Kit" button only shows for the band's owner (you).
Press kit artifacts (PDF, podcast, spotlight, EPK zip) are stored on R2 with public URLs, so once they appear on the band page they're shareable.
Your band's website
Publishing a band from its Soul Forge card generates a standalone artist website at /virtual-artists/{slug}/ with four public pages: home, music, gallery, and merch. The site is built from the card's identity data, so the bio, portrait, motto, members, and influences carry over automatically.
The site has its own admin page at /virtual-artists/{slug}/admin.html (owner only). From there you can:
- Add tracks with uploaded audio, playable on the music page
- Build a gallery from uploaded images
- List merch products with prices and Stripe payment links, so fans can buy directly
- Edit artist fields like the bio, motto, and hero images
Everything you add through the admin page is saved to your band's record and survives platform updates, as do all uploaded images and audio.
A live artist website is also exactly what streaming platforms look for when you claim an artist profile (for example Spotify for Artists): submit your band site URL alongside your socials as proof the artist is real and managed by you.
Notes on existing bands
If you forged a band before this page launched, your existing Soul Forge debut shows up automatically as the discography entry. Any Blueprints you generated by name-matching may also appear in the Press Kit slot - we backfilled the obvious matches.
