How to Play Astral Drift

The goal

Thrust and rotate a drifting ship through a field of cracking crystal asteroids, blasting them into smaller shards before they hit you.

Astral Drift is a momentum-driven space shooter in the spirit of Asteroids. You pilot a ship that keeps drifting after you stop thrusting, so every burst of speed and every rotation matters. Cracked-crystal asteroids fracture along fault lines when you shoot them, splitting into smaller, faster shards you then have to clean up.

• Left and right arrow keys to rotate the ship
• Up arrow to thrust forward
• Space to fire
• Shift or B for a short hyperspace jump out of danger; P or Esc to pause

Strategy and scoring tips

• Tap thrust in short bursts instead of holding it. Drifting slowly gives you far more control than racing across the field.
• Clear the small shards before they multiply. A screen full of fast fragments is deadlier than a few big rocks.
• Save hyperspace for the moment you are genuinely boxed in. It is a panic button, not a travel tool.
