What is the Vibe Score?
Every entry gets a 0-100 Vibe Score computed from the audio itself - tempo, key, energy, lyrics - so a quiet new track stands on its own merit, not just on follower count. With no theme this month, the rubric scores how well the song is made rather than how closely it matches a brief, and production polish carries the most weight:

The fine print
- The rule: submit your best song. No theme, no genre, no twist to comply with.
- Track must be generated on AetherWave (any music model).
- Post must be public on the community feed and include the contest hashtag #BestSong2026.
- Each entry costs 5 Influence Points, deducted when you post your tagged track. Influence Points are AetherWave's entry currency - every new account starts with 5, so your first entry is covered, and your balance is on your artist profile.
- Unlimited entries. Every song you enter costs 5 Influence Points and is judged on its own. One prize per artist - if two of your tracks finish in the top three, you take the higher placing and the next artist moves up.
- You must own the rights to any song you enter. Uploaded tracks are welcome on that basis.
- If your balance is under 5 IP when you post, your track still goes to the feed but does not enter the contest, and nothing is deducted. Top up and post it again to enter.
- Track must be at least 30 seconds long.
- Caption must include a track title and one-line artist statement.
- Submissions accepted in any language.
- Entries open September 4 and close October 4. Winners announced October 5.
- By entering, you grant AetherWave the right to feature your track on radio and socials with credit.
