The assets a launch actually consumes

A launch needs more pieces than it first appears. Each network wants its own dimensions, the email needs a header image, the announcement needs a share card, and there has to be a destination that speaks to the audience being invited.

The one most often missed is the landing page. Campaigns get pointed at a general homepage or, worse, at a page written for a different audience entirely, which converts nothing no matter how good the email was.

Check the share card and the sizes

An OG image left pointing at a previous campaign is a common and visible error, because every share of the new announcement then shows the old graphic. It costs nothing to check and is embarrassing to discover afterwards.

Platform dimensions also move, and most size charts on the web are out of date. Generating to a current platform target, rather than a generic square you crop by hand, avoids the cropped-logo problem.

Frequently Asked Questions

What marketing assets does a product launch need?

Social assets at each network's dimensions, a share card, an email header, and a landing page written for the audience the campaign invites.

What is most often forgotten before launch?

A dedicated landing page, and the OG share image, which is frequently left pointing at the previous campaign so every share shows the wrong graphic.
