What is a Claude music MCP?

Claude on its own cannot produce audio, but with a music MCP connected it can call a generation tool and hand back a real track. You connect once, then ask in plain language: write an upbeat synthwave intro for my podcast.

Claude calls the server's music tool, which generates the track and returns a hosted URL. With AetherWave that tool is aetherwave_generate_music, powered by Suno.

Setup options

In Claude Code, install with one command (claude mcp add). In Claude Desktop or Claude.ai, use the remote OAuth connector for a one-click setup with no API key to manage. Either way, the same tools become available.
