Use the name field

Before you tap a genre there is a name field. Typing her name is what turns a song about a moment into a song about her, because the name goes into the lyrics.

Love song and pop ballad are the two genre cards that fit this best. Acoustic is the quieter option if you want something that sounds handmade.

Pick the photo carefully, not the words

The lyrics come out of the picture, so the picture is the whole brief. A photo of the two of you somewhere specific gives the song details to use. A posed studio shot gives it less.

You get two versions, so if the first take is not the mood you wanted, the second one often is.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the song actually use her name?

Yes, when you type it in the name field before tapping a genre. Without a name the lyrics are about the photo rather than about a named person.

Which genre should I pick?

Love song or pop ballad for something romantic, acoustic for something plainer. There are 21 to choose from.

Can I hear it before I give it to her?

Yes. Both versions play on the page and sit in your gallery, so nothing is sent anywhere until you share it.

One photo is the whole brief

Open the Song tab, add a photo, tap a genre. The lyrics are written from the picture and two finished versions land in your gallery. A new account opens with 25 credits and a song costs 20, so the first one is covered.
