Where the gift box is
The gift box is the gold gift icon in the top header bar, sitting just to the right of the search box on every page. Tapping it opens the Earn Free Credits panel with your quest list and a progress bar.
It only appears when you are signed in. Signed out, the icon is not rendered at all, so a logged-out visitor will never find it however hard they look.
Where the gift box is on your phone
On a phone held upright in portrait, the gift icon is deliberately hidden. This is not a bug on your device and not something a refresh will fix. Screens 600px and narrower in portrait hide the gift icon to keep the header from overflowing, so there is genuinely nothing to tap.
Three ways to reach it from a phone:
- Turn your phone sideways. In landscape the header has room and the gold gift icon reappears next to the search box. This is the quickest fix.
- Ask for the desktop site. In Chrome use the three-dot menu and tick Desktop site; in Safari use the aA menu and choose Request Desktop Website. The full header loads, gift icon included.
- Use a tablet or a computer. Anything wider than 600px shows the icon normally.
There is no separate quests page to visit instead, so one of the three routes above is required. If you are on a phone in portrait and see no gift icon, you have found expected behaviour rather than a fault.
What the gift box quests pay
The quests inside the panel are one-time community tasks worth 10 credits each, to a ceiling of 80 credits across all of them. Each one pays out the first time you complete it and never again.
The tasks are following AetherWave on our social channels - Discord, Facebook, X, Instagram, Threads, TikTok and YouTube - plus sharing one of your own creations with the AetherWave hashtag, which is verified by URL.
The panel itself is the source of truth for the current list, the payouts and your own progress. It also holds the promo code box, if you have a code to redeem.
If a quest does not mark itself complete
Refresh the page (Ctrl+R, or pull down to refresh on mobile). Quest completion is checked when the page loads, so a quest finished in another tab usually just needs the panel reopened.
Other ways to earn free credits
The gift box caps out at 80 credits. Daily login streaks also pay on milestone days (3, 7, 14, 30, 60 and 100), but only for accounts created before 26 July 2026; the programme is closed to newer accounts. See daily streaks and plans and credits for the full picture.
