Is there an app? Installing AetherWave on your phone

There is no native app in the App Store or Google Play. AetherWave Studio installs from the browser as a progressive web app, which gives it a home-screen icon and a full-screen window on iPhone, Android, and desktop.

The short answer

There is no AetherWave app in the Apple App Store or on Google Play. Searching either store will not find us, and any listing claiming to be us is not ours.

What we do have is an installable web app. You install it from your browser in a couple of taps, and you get a home-screen icon that opens AetherWave full screen with no browser bars, which in day to day use feels the same as a store app.

Installing on iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the site in Safari (this does not work from Chrome on iOS).
  2. Tap the Share button.
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Confirm the name and tap Add.

Installing on Android

  1. Open the site in Chrome.
  2. Chrome usually offers Install app or Add to Home screen by itself. If it does not, open the browser menu and pick it from there.

Installing on desktop

Chrome and Edge show an install icon in the address bar. Installing gives AetherWave its own window and its own icon in your dock or taskbar.

What you get once it is installed

What the installed app does not change

It is the same AetherWave with the same account, the same credits and the same files. Installing does not give you offline music generation: generating, mastering and rendering all happen on our servers, so you still need a connection. Nothing needs reinstalling when we ship an update, because it updates itself the next time you open it.
