Where the lyrics are
- Go to your gallery and switch to your audio.
- Click the track to open its detail view.
- Under the track's prompt there is a View lyrics link. Click it and the words expand.
- Copy lyrics copies the whole set to your clipboard.
That is the only place a finished track's lyrics are shown. They are not on the track's tile in the grid, and downloading the track gives you the audio only.
The prompt is not the lyrics
In the same detail view you will see the track's prompt, and on a generated song that prompt is usually the style: the genre, the mood, the voice, the production. It is not the words that were sung. The sung words are the separate View lyrics block below it, which is exactly why they are shown apart.
If there is no View lyrics link
The block only appears when lyrics were actually stored with the track, so its absence has real causes rather than being a glitch to retry:
- Older tracks. Lyrics were not saved alongside a track until 2026-09-09. Songs made before then may have none stored, and no amount of reloading will produce them. A backfill recovered what it could, so some older tracks do have them and some legitimately do not.
- Instrumentals. No vocals means no lyrics.
- Uploaded or imported audio. We only have the words for songs generated here. A file you uploaded has nothing for us to store.
If you still have the tab where you generated the song, the lyrics box in Music Studio is the other place they exist, so copy them from there before you close it.
Writing lyrics in the first place
In Music Studio the lyrics field is where you type or paste the words, and Write with AI drafts them for you. Whatever is in that field when you generate is what gets sung, and from 2026-09-09 onward it is what gets saved with the finished track.
