Add vocals or instrumentals to a track you already have
Both tools live on the Music Editing page. They work on a track you bring: your own recording, something from your gallery, or any public audio URL.
Add Vocal Top Lines
Puts an AI vocal performance over your existing instrumental.
25 credits. You get two versions of the finished song, not one.
- Pick your track (Library, Upload, or URL).
- Provide lyrics, or have them written for you (below).
- Set a Music Style (for example: Dream Pop, Soul, Trap) and a title.
- Optionally choose a vocal gender.
- Press Add Vocal Top Lines.
The Lyrics box is the words that get sung
This is the single most important thing to understand about this tool. Whatever you put in the Lyrics box is sung literally. It is not a description of the vocals you want.
- Right:
[Verse]/Neon rain on empty streets/I hear your echo in the dark - Wrong:
Emotional female vocals with soaring harmonies
The second one produces a singer performing the words "emotional female vocals with soaring harmonies". Describe the sound you want in Music Style instead, which is what that field is for.
Use [Verse], [Chorus] and [Bridge] tags to shape the structure.
Write the lyrics for me
If you do not have lyrics, use the Write lyrics for me box above the Lyrics field. Describe the song in a sentence, for example:
a breakup song about summer ending, hopeful at the end
1 credit. You get two or three complete drafts with real verse and chorus structure. Pick one and it drops into the Lyrics box, where you can edit it freely before generating. Nothing is sung until you press Add Vocal Top Lines, so you can rewrite the draft as much as you like at no extra cost.
Add Instrumental
The mirror image: you bring a vocal, and AI builds the music behind it.
25 credits, and it also returns two versions.
Describe the backing you want (instruments, mood) and set a genre. There is no lyrics field here, because the words are already in your uploaded audio.
What you get back
Both tools return two complete versions. Every version is:
- playable in the results window straight away
- downloadable individually
- already saved to your gallery automatically
The lyrics that were sung are stored with each track. Open the item in your gallery and choose View lyrics to read or copy them.
Tips
- Your source audio must be reachable by us, so use the Library or Upload tabs rather than a private link.
- Nothing is charged if a generation fails.
- A clean instrumental gives the vocal more room. If your source already has vocals, consider Multi-Stem Split first to remove them.
