YouTube Thumbnail Best Practices for Darkwave Music

Great darkwave thumbnails share these qualities:

High contrast - Bold colors and strong light/dark separation so the image pops at 120px wide
Single focal point - One clear subject, not a busy collage
Genre-authentic visuals - shadowy figures, desaturated blues, abandoned cathedrals - viewers should instantly recognize the darkwave vibe
Clean composition - Leave space for YouTube's timestamp overlay in the bottom-right

When using the AI generator, try prompts like "Darkwave music atmosphere, professional artwork" to get thumbnails that feel authentic to darkwave while being visually striking at small sizes.
