YouTube Thumbnail Best Practices for Synthwave Music

Great synthwave thumbnails share these qualities:

High contrast - Bold colors and strong light/dark separation so the image pops at 120px wide
Single focal point - One clear subject, not a busy collage
Genre-authentic visuals - neon grids, sunset gradients, chrome text - viewers should instantly recognize the synthwave vibe
Clean composition - Leave space for YouTube's timestamp overlay in the bottom-right

When using the AI generator, try prompts like "Bold neon skyline with dramatic lighting, high contrast, eye-catching at small sizes" to get thumbnails that feel authentic to synthwave while being visually striking at small sizes.
