Opening it
Your stereo lives at /stereo-system. It opens in whichever view you left it in, and remembers your choice.
Two views of the same rig
Player view is the compact one: cover art, transport controls, a volume slider, and the station you are tuned to. It is the quick way to just listen. Tap Open Sound System to go to the full rack.
The rack is the whole photoreal console: the base modules stacked vertically, your component slots, and the speakers flanking the room. This is where you actually shape the sound. The button in the lower right returns you to the player.
On a phone, the player view is the default. See On Your Phone.
Playing something
Tune the Receiver's dial to a station, or use the transport controls to play, pause, and skip. The Now Playing display shows the current track, artist, and station. Whatever is playing is also what you audition new components against, so it is worth having something on before you go shopping.
The base console
Four modules are always in your rack. You cannot remove them; they are the spine every rig is built on.
Transport. Play, pause, previous, next, shuffle, and repeat, plus the live Now Playing readout.
The Receiver. The FM tuner. Turn the dial to move across the band and land on a station; the readout shows the frequency, and the station's call letters appear beside it once you are on it. Full detail in The Receiver.
Tone. Bass, mid, and treble, five voicing presets, and a bypass. Covered in Tone and Output.
Power Output. The final output level, a Speakers or Headphones switch, and a pair of VU meters showing what is leaving the rack.
Adding to it
Everything below the base console is yours to build. Empty slots read "Slot N - Empty"; tap one to open the Audio Store and drop a component in. That is the subject of Building Your Rack.
Your settings are already saved
There is no Save button on your personal stereo. Every knob, every band, every toggle is stored the moment you change it, tied to your account rather than this browser, so your rig follows you to your next visit and your next device.
