Extending an AI video versus regenerating it
Two different questions
Regenerate when the clip itself is wrong: the framing missed, the motion is off, the subject is not what you asked for. You want another attempt at the same moment.
Extend when the clip is right and simply ends too soon. You want the next moment, starting from exactly where this one stopped.
Why mixing them up is expensive
Regenerating a clip you were happy with, hoping for a longer version, throws away a take that worked and gives you a different scene to judge from scratch.
Extending a clip you did not like locks its mistakes into the first frame of everything that follows.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I do both?
Yes, and often you should: regenerate until a take is right, then extend from that one. Every run is its own gallery entry, so nothing is lost either way.
What if I extended from the wrong take?
Leave the continuation out of the chain and extend again from the take you meant. Nothing is overwritten.
Your first clip is the hard part
Open the Video Studio, get one shot you like, then press AetherWave Extend and keep going. Every take is its own gallery entry, so nothing you keep can be overwritten.
