AetherWave Extend

How to extend an AI video past one clip

AetherWave Extend takes the last frame of a finished clip and uses it as the first frame of a new image-to-video run, so the next shot starts exactly where the last one stopped.

The Extend chain in the Video Studio: two approved takes side by side, the join labelled last frame in, and a chain render of 24 seconds saved to the gallery.
The chain itself: each take, the join between them, and one render saved to the gallery.
Take 1, the source clip.
Take 2, seeded from the final frame of take 1.
The rendered chain: two approved takes written to one 24 second video.

What it actually does

Most AI video models give you one short clip and stop. AetherWave Extend captures the last frame of the clip you are watching and hands it to a new image-to-video run as that run's first frame. The new shot opens on the exact image the previous one closed on, so the two play as one continuous move rather than two unrelated clips.

Each extend is a brand-new run and a brand-new gallery entry. Nothing overwrites the take you already liked, so a continuation you dislike costs you that run and nothing else.

The chain is a thing you can see

Every take lands on a visible chain, left to right, with the join between each pair labelled. You can click any take to bring it back on screen, approve the ones you want, and leave out the ones you do not.

Play chain runs the approved takes back to back in the result player, so you can watch the whole sequence before you commit to anything. Render chain then writes those approved takes into one video and saves it to your gallery.

The chain is stored on the creation record, so closing the tab does not lose it. Come back later and the takes, the order and your approvals are still there.

One detail that keeps the chain honest

Extending always seeds from the newest take, even when you are looking at an earlier one. Without that, clicking back to take 1 to re-watch it and then pressing Extend would quietly seed the next run from take 1 and hang it off the end of the chain, which is a confusing mess to unpick later.

The source clip is always eligible for the chain, so take 1 never has to be re-made to be included.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long can a chain get?

There is no fixed ceiling in the interface. Each extend adds another take, and Render chain writes every approved take into one video. The practical limit is how long the result stays coherent, which is a creative judgement rather than a setting.

Does extending overwrite my original clip?

No. Every extend is a separate run and a separate gallery entry. The take you started from is untouched, so you can extend the same clip more than once and keep both continuations.

What happens if one take in the middle is bad?

Leave it out. Each take has its own approve toggle, and Play chain and Render chain only use the approved ones. You do not have to re-make the takes that came after it.

Do I have to render to see how it flows?

No. Play chain plays the approved takes back to back in the result player first. Render chain is the separate step that writes one video to your gallery.

Your first clip is the hard part

Open the Video Studio, get one shot you like, then press AetherWave Extend and keep going. Every take is its own gallery entry, so nothing you keep can be overwritten.
