Multi-shot

Building a multi-shot scene out of AI video clips

A scene is several shots that belong together. Chaining lets you build one shot at a time and judge each one in the context of the whole before anything is final.

The rendered chain: two approved takes written to one 24 second video.

Build it one beat at a time

Trying to describe a whole scene in one prompt gives the model too much to hold. Chaining lets each run carry one beat: the approach, the turn, the reveal.

Because each beat starts on the previous beat's final frame, the scene stays in one place rather than cutting to somewhere adjacent.

Changing your mind is cheap

A beat that does not land gets left out of the chain. The beats after it stay as they are, because they were seeded from frames, not from the take you dropped.

Play chain shows you the scene as it currently stands, which is usually when it becomes obvious which beat is the weak one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I branch a chain in two directions?

Every extend is its own run and its own gallery entry, so extending the same take twice gives you two continuations and nothing is overwritten.

Is this a video editor?

It is the generation side. For titles, music, voiceover and cuts, the rendered chain carries into Project Studio, which is the timeline editor.

Your first clip is the hard part

Open the Video Studio, get one shot you like, then press AetherWave Extend and keep going. Every take is its own gallery entry, so nothing you keep can be overwritten.
